Coach Saveriano was a four-year letterwinner in Massachusetts at Lexington High School. Her senior year, she was named The Boston Globe Division I Player of the Year and was named the Middlesex MVP in her junior and senior seasons helping her team to back-to-back state championship titles Additionally, she was a four-year Middlesex League All-Star and a two-year Boston Herald and Boston Globe All-Scholastic athlete. She finished her senior season with a 19-2 record, four no hitters, 12 shutouts, 265 strikeouts and a 0.30 ERA. After high school, she earned a $200,000 athletic scholarship to the University of Connecticut. As a Husky, Coach Saveriano was the starting pitcher all 4 years. Over those four years she set all-time program records for game appearances (132) and starts (121) and finished her career with 614 strikeouts. After graduating, she continued her career in Karlsruhe, Germany, playing Bundesliga club softball for the Karlsruhe Cougars. Since her time in Germany, she has given private pitching lessons and coached AAA/AA softball for the Capital Hill Little League in Washington, D.C.
