Friendship,

These are different times. Yet, it’s our hope that every FPCS student, family and all of our campus staff are enjoying a well-deserved Spring Break. Starting next Tuesday, March 24, distance- and virtual-learning will begin for all FPCS schools. We’re so proud of how each of you continues to go above and beyond to give100 percent! Your commitment, ingenuity and sheer grit are what make Friendship exceptional. 

Provided here is your Wednesday update. As promised, the FPCS Community Office will dispatch news you can use on a daily and weekly basis. 

Test. Test. Test. - Get Ready for Distance Learning Next Week

Get ready for distance learning by testing your technology. This includes FPCS-issued laptops and Chromebooks as well as apps and other virtual resources you’ll use next week. Report any concerns to your campus IT administrator and direct supervisor. And contact your direct supervisor if you need telework information or Zoom and Google Classroom credentials. 

Virtual Tools Coaching

Need coaching on how to maximize virtual platforms like Zoom and Google Classroom? FPCS Tech Prep STEM teacher Lenora Felder is training teachers. Contact Ms. Felder at LFelder@friendshipschools.org.

Grab-and-Go Meal Service

Our grab-and-go weekday meal service will continue throughout the temporary closure, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. With the support of our dedicated security staff, we’ll also keep a few meals on hand for families who can’t make the 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. window. Are you concerned about FPCS families who may need additional support over the weekend? We’re thinking about them too. At the regular Friday distribution, we have arranged for families to pick up multiple meals to take home for the weekend.
